List comfort problems, renovations and rooms that are hard to heat or cool. Ask how the proposed equipment will be sized for the home.
Compare the same scope
Ask each provider to identify equipment, duct connections, electrical work, old-system removal and any exclusions. A model number alone is not an installation quote.
Ask about ownership
Discuss equipment and labor warranties separately, required maintenance and who to contact if a problem develops. Keep the written scope with your service records.
